SoundCheque is built to keep your invoicing data on your own device. This page explains, plainly, what that means.

The short version

What's stored, and where

SoundCheque uses Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData) to keep your invoices, line items, client names and email addresses, and your business settings (name, address, phone, email, bank details, and invoice style preferences). This data lives in the app's local storage on your device. It is not synced to iCloud, uploaded to any server, or accessible to us in any form.

If you delete the app, this data is deleted along with it. SoundCheque doesn't currently offer automatic backup — we'd recommend using the app's Save PDF feature to keep copies of important invoices somewhere of your choosing, such as iCloud Drive.

Contacts access

SoundCheque asks for permission to access your Contacts so you can quickly select a client's name and email address when creating an invoice, instead of typing it out each time. SoundCheque only reads the specific contact you choose to select — it does not scan, copy, or upload your address book, and contact access can be revoked at any time in your device's Settings without affecting the rest of the app.

Email & sending invoices

When you send an invoice, SoundCheque hands it to your device's own Mail app (or whichever mail app your device is configured to use) with the PDF already attached — you review and send it yourself, from your own email address. SoundCheque does not operate its own mail server and never sends anything on your behalf without you tapping Send.

Saving PDFs to Files

The Save PDF feature uses Apple's standard system file picker to let you choose where a copy is saved — Files, iCloud Drive, or any other location or app you have installed that accepts files. That choice, and the resulting file, is entirely under your control once saved.

No analytics, no tracking, no ads

SoundCheque doesn't include any analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs. We don't know how you use the app, and we don't want to.

Children's privacy

SoundCheque is a general-purpose business tool and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from children, and given the app collects nothing from any user, there is no data to collect regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
